Every pearl you find can be set at the bench while you wait. Choose studs, a necklace, a ring or a bangle — Button pearls sit beautifully as studs, and the Queen was made to hang alone on a chain. Settings are $10 to $50, depending on the piece.

There's no list and no deposit. Twenty seats in the main room, ten more in a private room, and whoever walks in next. Weekends fill up by mid-afternoon — weekdays just after noon are quietest if you'd rather have the bench to yourself.
